The mission of Capitol Squash is to empower youth of Hartford to reach their potential as athletes, students, and engaged citizens.
Capitol Squash strives to provide youth with life-changing opportunities through the sport of squash, intensive educational support, mentoring, and community service activities.
Selection
Hartford students are selected for the Capitol Squash program based on a variety of factors, including parental involvement, effort, attendance rate, teacher references, character, and attitude.
Benefits
Capitol Squash provides our students with an abundance of opportunities including external summer camps and college prep programs, individualized SAT prep, tutoring, travel, field trips, and step-by-step support with the college application process.
Commitment
Once students are accepted into Capitol Squash, they are in it for life. Intensive, year-round programming begins as early as third grade and continues through high school graduation and into post-secondary life.
Success
Since our first graduating high school class, we have maintained a 100% high school graduation rate and helped our students earn $3.8 million in financial aid and scholarships. In 2025, we had a 100% college matriculation rate.
